Vellum does not apply any Digital Rights Management (DRM) to your ebooks. DRM is typically specific to a vendor and their reading system, and is applied when you list your book for sale. For example, you’ll select whether you want DRM enabled for your book listed on Amazon when you upload to KDP.
If you are looking for a way to discourage the redistribution of Advance Reader Copies (ARCs), you may want to consider personalized watermarking. You can watermark your book using a distribution tool like BookFunnel.
You can learn more about Advance Reader Copies in Vellum Help.
